About Me

Hi, I’m Tyler Ricketts, a Cybersecurity student at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, graduating in 2027. I grew up in New York and Massachusetts, and I love the outdoors, especially the trails around Stow and the Delaney Wildlife Refuge. My tech journey began with a Sony Vaio running Windows XP, where I learned the basics and installed my first programs at age four. Through childhood I experimented with Apple devices, modded Minecraft, and wrote simple code on my dad’s HP Pavilion. For my 10th birthday, I got an Ubuntu machine that introduced me to Linux, followed later by a Windows 2-in-1 where I learned more about system limitations. At 13, I built my first custom PC with my cousin, a huge milestone that fueled my passion. Since then, I’ve upgraded through multiple builds, now running a Ryzen 7 5800x system with a GTX 3090.
